For installers
Know what's going on before the customer calls
With the BoilerBuddy Alpo you see all your customers' solar water heaters in one list. When something goes wrong, you get an alert and know where to look. Often before the customer notices anything: their water stays hot, because the boiler takes over.
How it works
How you work with your customers
Your whole company works in one account, with all your technicians. Don't install solar water heaters yourself? You can still fit the Alpo for people and keep an eye on their system remotely.
- 01
You add your customer
You create the customer, connect the Alpo to their controller and pair it with its pairing code. Any of your technicians can do this.
- 02
Everything in one list
All your customers' systems, by customer and location, with charts and alerts. When something goes wrong, you and your technicians hear about it right away.
- 03
Your customer follows along
Invite your customer and they see their charts, savings and alerts. Want them to pay for it themselves? Hand the Alpo over with the subscription. You keep managing it.
Alerts
What you get an alert for
BoilerBuddy watches how collector, tank and pump work together, not just single temperatures.
Pump not running
The collector is more than 12 degrees warmer than the bottom of the tank, but the pump has been off for 20 minutes.
Pump running without heat
The pump has been running for half an hour, but the collector is barely warmer than the tank.
Sensor stuck
A temperature stays the same for a whole day. Often a loose or broken sensor.
Sensor gives no reading
The Alpo is online, but a sensor hasn't given a usable value for half an hour.
Collector overheating
Above 120 °C for more than ten minutes. Back to normal below 110 °C.
Alpo offline
Nothing heard from the Alpo for fifteen minutes. If the problem is on our side, we don't send an email.
An alert only goes out once a problem lasts a while, and you won't get the same one over and over. Once it's fixed, you hear that too.
You manage it, your customer stays informed
You and your technicians make sure the system is set up right. A customer with access sees what's happening, but can't change anything. What belongs to the customer stays theirs.
You and your technicians
View charts and alerts, set up the circuit and fill in the installation details, such as tank size, collector area and boiler efficiency.
Your customer
Sees charts, savings and alerts. Once you've handed the Alpo over, it's theirs: they pay the subscription, decide who else gets access and can end yours.
